The Weir Link volunteer scheme was launched in January 2013. During this time over 60 volunteers have benefited from training, support, guidance, coaching and mentoring.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone over the age of 18 from any background can volunteer. Volunteering is a great way into employment and an opportunity to meet new people or just give something back to the community.

What do the volunteers do?

Volunteers carry out a variety of roles such as assisting in stay and play and crèche sessions, office administration and fundraising activities.  Volunteers have also taken part in training courses including volunteer induction, employability and confidence skills, safeguarding and first aid courses. Our volunteers have gone on to do further training or have gained permanent employment.

Current Volunteering opportunities at The Weir Link
